The count itself, area by area
A stocktake in StockLens is a sequence of areas — cellar, back-bar, spirits store, bottle fridge. You pick an area, choose how you want to count it, and work through it. Nothing is written up afterwards, because every line is costed as it is entered.

Cask, keg and dispense the way UK auditors expect
Draught is where most pub stocktakes go wrong. Casks are counted by ullage, kegs by weight or volume, and dispense is reported per line, so draught variance can be reconciled instead of written off as a rounding difference.
Tied, free, leased or managed
Tied houses can load a pubco price list as a CSV and refresh it whenever it changes. Free houses can hold more than one supplier price per product and compare them. Managed groups can roll each venue's stocktake into group reporting.
Bringing stocktakes in-house
Operators typically use StockLens to run their own counts more often than an external stocktaker would visit, and keep the stocktaker for periodic assurance. Whether you drop the stocktaker entirely is your call — the reports are the same either way.
ProofTrail: who counted what, and when
Every line records who entered it, when, and which photo or sheet it came from. When a variance question comes up three weeks later, the answer is in the stocktake rather than in someone's memory.
